On May 3, 2017, Phoenix Environmental was awarded a two-year surface water monitoring project by Metro Parks. Phoenix was previously awarded this contract in 2017. Phoenix was pleased to be selected by the Columbus & Franklin Co. Metro Parks again to assist with this sampling project. The project goal is to, “assess the health of the aquatic environment and aquatic organisms, too, provide benchmark data for future comparisons, and to provide information that may help protect the public that comes into contact with these waters.” Phoenix will be visiting 19 locations at ten Metro Parks in order to collect water samples from creeks and ponds for laboratory analysis. We will also be measuring surface water quality parameters and collecting other pertinent data. We may even, if time permits, do a little fishing.
